Elissa’s January 2023 Psychic Newsletter, Horoscopes and More

2023 What Comes Around Goes Around

Dear Friends,

It’s icy cold in Santa Fe, and I am simultaneously swilling hot chocolate and wrapping up this newsletter, part 2 of the big January edition. Out in the real world, the media is already loaded with alarming stories to digest in 2023…I hope this horoscope edition is an entertaining break from whatever else you’ve been reading about.

No matter what some of the predictions sound like in the earlier prediction edition, I think people will find it easier to make themselves happy in 2023 than last year. Even if things end up shockingly different than expected, for instance, it doesn’t mean they don’t end up better. Meanwhile in your imagination, aim high!

Have a wonderful year and I hope you come this way, Santa Fe is still beautiful and spiritually soothing. And its cultural offerings just get more and better.

This newsletter will likely be quarterly this year, it is busy busy busy around here with clients near and far, but I do post horoscope updates and articles on my blog. By the way, I am working with many more groups now – I think more groups are choosing Santa Fe as their getaway, and of course, people are just not Covid-fearful like they have been. I’m still in the same office suite on East Palace, and prices are still the same both for in-person and phone sessions.

With love and good wishes for a happy 2023,

Elissa

A Few More 2023 Predictions and Wellness Tips

Re the January 2023 prediction newsletter: The first batch of newsletters out to subscribers didn’t include the last 3 sentences of the Covid update. Here’s the whole paragraph:

NEW COVID UPDATE: 2023 is the last year we are so defenseless against Covid, before new knowledge helps us do battle. 2024 looks better. Economic destruction impact is underestimated; big changes in the workforce due to Covid. A Covid strain could change to make it more airborne.

Re the prediction newsletter message about more extreme cold (“Brrr: There will be more “unusual” cold spells like Winter 2022.”): What got edited out of the final draft was that the cold was connected to some fundamental change in nature and planet earth, something happens at a profound level – it was a message I didn’t understand. When I read the recent headline that the iron core spinning at the center of the earth might be pausing: “Earth’s renegade inner core may have ‘paused’ and reversed, scientists say”, I recognized it as the kind of fundamental change the message meant. I wondered if the unusual cold spells were connected to what was happening at the earth’s core.. It was 60 below zero in China last week!

Re the earlier “infiltration of evil” messageThe January 18th slaying by the police of a Cop City protestor outside of Atlanta is the tip of a super-scary iceberg about the normalizing of a police state and police brutality in the U.S. It was the kind of outrageous event that becomes a rallying cry nationwide, but the very long attack happened as Mercury was going direct. Communication can be stunted, the story not so easily heard. At least at first.

“Irreparable harm” – that’s what Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen said would happen to the U.S. economy if the debt ceiling isn’t lifted in June. Jupiter in Aries (until mid-May) is also when people in power play hardball. Let’s hope the Republicans don’t want to visit economic grief on U.S. citizens. The word of the year being “abrupt”, continuity is not a given in 2023.

The Shortened Goalpost: A psychologically healthy way to adapt to a world where things don’t go as expected: Make your goals “shorter”…about the quality of your day, for instance, the quality of your interactions and did you take a minute to enjoy being outside? Rather than how far you got down the road to success. 2023 is a year with a lot of interruptions and abrupt twists; focusing on how you treat yourself, how you treat others, what you fill yourself with in the day, is a graceful way to move through sometimes heavy and sometimes unstable vibrations.

Self-care in 2023 is all about rejuvenation… plan for it! Rejuvenate yourself on a mini-scale very regularly. Plan for longer getaways that aim to refresh your mind, body, and spirit.

Spring, Summer and Fall, and Chinese Astrology Have a Few Words for You….

Year of the Rabbit: Perseverance pays off for those born in the Year of the Rabbit. Reality check is due concerning unmet goals… the direction of things becomes clear, and as well, what is no longer a feasible direction for you. Connect with solid people for success.

Spring 2023: People are really going to feel the “new” beginning energy of this Spring. It’s a good year for imaginative projects and deeply personal creative expression in general. Painters and writers are inspired! Even if it’s not your birthday, March 22nd is a good day for an astrological new year’s wish.

Summer says: Plan for fun, and dress up those streets! Fashion should be fun to watch.

Fall Equinox Message: It’s more important to DO and take the initiative – without stopping the show to worry if you’re doing it right. Try. Do. Act. Get Help When Needed. As the wise psychiatrist Dr. Abraham Lowe would say, “Move those muscles.”

2023 Psychic Horoscopes for the Fire, Water, Air and Earth Signs

Fire, Aries, Leo, Sagittarius: A separate message came for each fire sign for 2023: Aries: More focus on health this year than before. Leo: You are chugging along, it’s a little like you’re moulting this year; keep the faith. Sagittarius: You are more together than ever. All Fire Signs: You get things in the right order, you get the right help, you understand what works or what you’re able to do… much better arrangements are made. There’s a lot of truth in what you’re doing now or how you do things, and this makes you more efficient. Everything about you gets more efficient.

Water, Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces: You’re breaking out of a mold or restriction in subtle ways this year. You attracted the planet Jupiter in your tarot cards, sign of good luck and expansion! You tend to be successful in things that you try, that you might be new at but you’re still good at, or well-organized for. You may choose to take on and express new sides of yourself this year. But also, you can get a lot cleaned up, cleared up, and taken care of. There’s an evenness about this time – a time of growth but low volatility.

Air, Gemini, Libra, Aquarius: Each air sign can go in quite different directions this year – it’s a karmic year taking you wherever you truly belong. You swerve the right way…you might go through a lot of changes, but something can work out very, very well. You would know that more in November. You want to keep on working for what you believe in and what you’re trying to change, especially if it deals with your role. Tarot: These are fortunate cards for Thinking Big about making changes: being willing to get into a different position… it looks like you’d be getting into a better one!

Earth, Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn: Your inner self cries out for “More action, more action!” It is restless and ambitious for whatever it is you desire. It’s important to not try to do anything major alone…it’s a sign to wait if you don’t have help you think you need. Tarot: It’s a “get it together” year, and so much progress can be made, you might shock yourself. Suddenly, you’re aware of everything that’s been unbalanced or extreme or disorganized, and you can make good plans and concerted efforts to put your life in much better order. What you think to do in the beginning of the year could take quite a while to accomplish.

2023 Messages from Spirit and the Tarot for Each Astrological Sign

Read your Sun, Moon, and Rising Sign

Aries: You’ve cleared out a lot of your “to do” list, and it’s time for new goals. It feels like an important year to forge ahead in new directions. Your mental and emotional networks are in sync and ready for whatever’s next. However, you can experience a gap in time…remember: Nature hates a vacuum. (This means that the feeling of being empty, and only having desire, longing – feeling a void and a yearning for fulfillment – sets the creative process of magnetic attraction in motion,) “Where do you fit in?”, you might be asking yourself. Get strong first, and you’ll see! (See Fire for health message.)

Taurus: A wild, wild year for Taurus, beginning with a new moon solar eclipse and Mercury going retrograde. Translation: you do a lot of reviewing of the basics in your life, getting things fundamentally straight. You are likely to get cooperation from organizations, and loans tend to come through. Your birthday falls in between eclipses this year; it points to preparing, fixing, and being practical, especially if you don’t know what to do in the big picture, or feel like you’re in-between identities. The message of the birthday year beginning with Mercury retrograde is: “Fix things before proceeding.” (I know this doesn’t sound like a wild year so far, but be patient, change is pretty much guaranteed.)

Gemini: Your imagination is strong and your mind adaptable, willing to entertain new ideas. Being adaptable and quick-witted will see you through what’s new. There is also some kind of repeat of last year’s events, but more powerful. Watch out for the tendency to over-indulge.

Cancer 2023: “OMG”, said the Cancer full moon babies, “…are these things really happening?” Powerful changes for Cancerians willing to go where fate points, and your imagination will help you see how you’ll like it. (Try this! Draw a picture of where you want to go – use anything…symbols, stick figures, words – a picture that shows what it’s like when you’ve got what you want.) Tarot: It looks like you’re getting to do things and go places you enjoy, and partnerships and bonds in general get stronger. But don’t count your chickens before they’re hatched, or make commitments without solid assurances.

Leo: A lot is overcome by Leos this year. Major healing goes on! You have a strong will to upgrade your life and get on higher ground. Don’t give up on that! It may not sound like the description of a fun year, but it absolutely can be: many adventures can take place if you’re willing to get out, go places, and do things.

Virgo: Mercury, your ruling planet, goes retrograde right at the start of your birthday year, and like Taurus, there’s a lot of clearing up and cleaning up and taking care of business that goes on in 2023. Like Taurus as well, all that getting-it-together activity precedes quite a change. Take calculated risks this year, and try new things.

Libra: Interestingly, the spirits’ first message to Libra is to get enough sleep! If you sleep more this winter than usual, assume your body knows what it needs. Take your time with everything, especially the first half of the year. Making choices and decisions is becomes easier in the coming Fall.

Scorpio: It’s an ordinary-feeling year, nothing out of the ordinary seems to happen and then “Pow!”: you get a new idea, quite a ways into your birthday year. Nothing is ordinary about you, but sometimes the rhythm of your life builds up your energy for yet, as it turns out, another transformative year!” Tarot: Metaphorically or literally or both, you’re going somewhere new…but where are you going? The cards say it’s somewhere fitting, somewhere that is somehow more successful and better for you. A new job description, a new healthier self-image, a new home state? Somehow you’ll feel like you’re in a new (and better) place.

Sagittarius: You’re full of enthusiasm and inspiration – it’s a copacetic year in terms of harmony and cooperation with others. A lot can get done, and it’s easier to stay focused on what you want to get done.

Capricorn: New message: If you’re being tough on yourself, you’ll be a lot more aware of it in 2023. It’s going to be a great year – you’ll see… at least you’ll see by November. Writing might play a bigger role in your life this year. (from the earlier January prediction issue) Capricorn 2023:  The full moon in Cancer is January 6th, and those born around that time will have a diverse plateful of experiences, karmic encounters, and chances to step back and try choosing peace over power. Family is important; participating more in community feels fulfilling, too.

Aquarius: There is more internal cooperation this year, as you are emotionally willing to act on your plans. There’s a lot of opportunity, thus spawning action plans! Expect bold ideas, radical energy, and greater personal courage to emerge from within.

Pisces: Your rational mind and intuition work together better than ever this year…you are a workhorse when it comes to projects that interest you. It seems like things happen very fast in your world; one situation after another unfolds. Don’t try to spend a lot of time on any one thing. Solutions at a deeper level occur to you and you also gain deeper self-understanding. It can be challenging to see so clearly into yourself and address whatever you find.

January 2023 Psychic Newsletter Prediction Edition

2023 What Comes Around Goes Around

Dear Friends,

Happy New Year! I’m just sitting here in Santa Fe, waiting to see who’s playing at JazzFest in New Orleans this Spring, the line-up is about to be released. Other than fantasizing about a Spring break, I’m thinking of what neat place in Nature I might go to write this year’s psychic horoscopes. (Two messages already came for Capricorn and Cancer during the last full moon, I’ll post them below.)

The 2023 predictions here are from the posts I did between December 2022 and the first few days of the new year. I’ll send them off now as Part 1 of the 2023 newsletter, and Part 2 with horoscopes is slowly materializing. What with Mercury and Mars retrograde, is my excuse, but Mars just went direct today, the planet of masculine energy and power, so it’s time to deliver!

May you have a year full of happy surprises and unexpected new love,

Elissa

2023

2023 is a year to take action, to not wait for the perfect time, and to be diligent. Keep up your centering and strengthening practices. Steady as you go, to get somewhere new and good.

Word of the Year: “Abrupt” The tables turn, reversals of circumstances are commonplace. There are reversals of fortune, changes of fate, and divorce rates climb. When is an “abrupt change of fortune” a welcome event? Individuals step back abruptly from whatever brink they’re on and abyss they’re staring into; in 2023 they begin a steady climb to regain their footing on higher ground.

2023 Image: A vulture comes down to pick off all that’s dead in 2023, as if a lot dies, and metaphorically speaking, (so do) a lot of past structure whether it’s a government or a marriage…whatever needs to be done with and cleared from the playing field.

NEW COVID UPDATE: 2023 is the last year we are so defenseless against Covid, before new knowledge helps us do battle. 2024 looks better. Economic destruction impact is underestimated; big changes in the workforce due to Covid. A Covid strain could change to make it more airborne.

NEW: FLYING STILL PROBLEMATIC: Fleeting psychic thought, hope it’s wrong: The airline industry continues to experience disruptive issues for 2-3 months.

January 1st Circle: The insights that came in my circle today were not personal, but visions about the collective in 2023:

In the directions January 1st: There can be large-scale losses of life, and a lot of people dying at once, but an actual world war isn’t showing up. Also not showing up are powerful factions actually winning, i.e. Putin winning or Zelensky winning, or either Good or Evil winning.

A mitigating force to the destructive ones in full swing is the power of some peoples’ minds. It’s a time when powerful solution-bringers and their combined knowledge combat current problems.

It is very, very hard to see what’s really taking shape and happening in the United States. There are powers behind powers battling it out. In the world in some places, it feels like something evil has moved into the infrastructure – an evil force is in place or in power.

Winnowing goes on in business, when only those whose value makes them relatively bullet-proof are safe when it comes to a faltering economy. On the plus side, this time spawns many new entrepreneurs and for others, chances to get more education and perhaps change direction. Take advantage if you’re free to explore.

As usual, there are big differences between messages about the collective direction of things, and what shows up as what individuals are likely to experience… and this year the spiritual guidance seems to point out peoples’ tendency to take a path of being more responsible to themselves. People are more realistic about their needs and not so driven by outer pressure. There’s more awareness of the value of taking breaks, playing, socializing, and not-doing. This is in conflict with the ongoing “get back to the office” campaign in government and big business.

2023 Pictograph Update

2023 What Comes Around Goes Around

Pictograph Explication: New Year’s Eve Update, December 31st.

I felt like I didn’t completely capture the meaning of “too much sun” in the original explication posted in my December 2022 newsletter, see below. The message also fits the description of a solar phenomenon, when the sun goes from benign to being disruptive and damaging. or ”…too much sun.” A big dose of sun could be a significant solar flare or storm.

The message “Experiment!” fleshed out: In 2023 you absolutely don’t want to be judging yourself for what you feel like doing – and you might feel like taking a break. It’s a year to trust your feelings and accept what you want – to not be afraid of failure, to respect your creative process, and try whatever you want to try. First-hand experience beats everything.

It also means you might try things that don’t work, or you’re finding out what doesn’t work, and that’s gotta be okay and helpful to find out. People are generally pragmatic and realistic and tend to become more responsible to themselves this year.

The Inner World: A naturally-felt priority is self-expression and creativity in 2023. Expressing yourself creatively – making the life you want – is especially rewarding now.

Free Energy Down the Line?: The December pictograph prediction mentions a “breakthrough in solar tech” that makes it more viable. (When I saw the news about a breakthrough in nuclear fusion, it felt like that was the link to solar energy’s viability.)

“Chastised”: These small cap brown letters show the small-cap kind of place people are in (except for the red ‘d’ at the end that signifies Democrats being energized) People are more self-aware of the lessons they’ve learned. Delusions of grandeur are down, accepting what’s real is up.

To add to these pictograph predictions, the pictograph explication below from last month’s December 2022 newsletter has different messages:

“Chastised” is about people facing the consequences of their actions, karma – U.S. rioters and politicians getting sentenced, Mother Nature teaching us hard lessons about squandered resources… people subdued by what they’ve wrought. The upside of “chastised” is that there’s an “I’m wiser now” sense to people now, and they’re more pragmatic in 2023. Democrats are motivated and energized.

Individuals, especially the 2nd half of the year, are better able to free themselves up for whatever comes next. What’s advised is to explore and experiment in your life in 2023.

There’s an out-of-control feeling about global warming and the heating up of the planet.

There could be a significant breakthrough in solar energy that makes it more viable. “

2023 Psychic Astrology Highlights

Jupiter enters Aries December 20th: The downside: This energy enables the self-righteous, the war-mongerers, and the hard right. People with boundary issues can’t keep them. The upside: Significant collaboration on complex problems happen between giant entities. The sheer might and the technical knowhow to get down to details combines to make progress with big impacts felt later.

Mercury Rx in Capricorn December 29- January 18th: A great time to put the finishing touches on new marketing campaigns, works in progress, and organizing projects. The organization of your day so you’re fitting in what’s important is an excellent focus. You’ll easily see now what doesn’t work and will be able to root it out.

Pluto in Aquarius, Innovation Moves Center Stage: (from the December 2022 newsletter) “In the U.S. and countries in surprising places, brilliant new leaders with bold ideas emerge. This is a sign of Pluto moving into Aquarius beginning in 2023, when according to the stars, societies move oppressive structures, to innovation being what forms the structure. Social structures that depend on being able to control others are out, being co-creationists with others and the Universe is in. Pluto is in Aquarius for the next twenty years.”

Global and Local Predictions

People Think Local: Individuals can go from trying to stop global warming to goals that have more immediate results, impacting their lives closer to home and their community. People are more pragmatic and realistic about their goals. Many go into teaching and somehow more practical subjects are being taught.

Prioritize Kids in 2023: The most impactful and valuable focus for government and organizations at any level are services for the young. They need to be provided with a safe place where they can interact playfully and as well with their imagination – building things, making things and learning things.

Real Local: Santa Fe does fine in 2023. In the near future, promoting the music festivals and art and cultural events will pay off. The educational experiences available here, plus opportunities to be creative, will inspire more people to come here.

A lot of People Sober Up: There’s always a big difference between messages about the collective direction of things, and what shows up as what individuals are likely to experience on their personal journey. This year the spiritual guidance seems to point out peoples’ tendency to take a path of being more responsible to themselves… taking their life more seriously and doing things more effectively. People are more realistic about their needs and not so driven by professional achievement and ego-needs. There’s more awareness of the value of taking breaks, playing, being with like-minded others, and not-doing. This is in conflict with the ongoing “get back to the office” campaign in government and big business.)

Surprise Attack: With a mighty lunge and a snap like the jaws of a lion, a world power roars into action to grab power while it can. (Sounds like China/Taiwan.)

Worldwide Turbulence: There are various wars brewing, plus Nature is boiling over. Volcanoes go off beginning in February.  What to make of the turbulent and boiling waters of 2023? Stay sober and responsible to navigate them! Resilience is tested, strength is gained, and people adapt. Stay flexible for success in 2023.

Think Before You Speak: The earth isn’t the only thing boiling over. Stress causes people to lash out, especially while Jupiter is in Aries and Mercury is retrograde in the beginning of the year.

Provocative 2023: People are provoking, countries are provoking, and what’s coming to life and also feeling out of control are Nature’s killing machines; it is insane to provoke biology by trying to bring ancient viruses to life in labs. There’s enough risk with whatever gets dug up by melting ice due to global warming.

Brrr: There will be more “unusual” cold spells like Winter 2022.

Empty Cupboards: We run out of stuff in 2023, storerooms are empty. It can be water we run out of in some places, grain in others, but storerooms are strikingly bare. Sometimes people are asked to give more freely than other times. In 2023, the world will be needier than ever, and poverty a much greater problem. People respond with grace and more generosity this year.

Reality Check from Science in 2023: The statistics come in, research to the rescue! We need to change the script pronto! New facts make people act now to save the planet’s diminishing life and resources. Landmark legislation is proposed.

Good News from the Stars: The New Year’s planets signal creative and practical innovations to come, and government programs proposed that actually address the need for change.

This is the last batch of 2023 general predictions left to be posted, mostly the left out

messages from the Winter Solstice December 21, 2022 and a couple of others I found, (very messy writing process).

Projects started around the Winter Solstice 2022 (3rd week of December) attract needed help.

Exercise from the New Moon in Capricorn on Goals and Success: Pick just 3 things that seem essential for personal success. Figure a way to do something about at least one of them almost daily through action.. Don’t spread yourself thin; remind yourself of only 3 important-for-satisfaction personal goals. There is a great sense of fulfillment that comes from completing things this year.

The Speaking Stones New Year’s Eve 2022: The stones show a lot of workarounds in 2023, meaning creative solutions are more the foundation of the year than catastrophes. First people can clearly see what doesn’t work and what needs to be cleaned up, but that’s just the first step in creating a new and better situation.

People on the main stages of the world don’t get to the place they want to, so the Russian war on Ukraine could still go on.

There’s a distinct “before and after” about the potential of free energy. Before free energy, we’re all focused on conflicts with each other. . After free energy, we feel more connected to the universe. Important positive developments are put in place through creative and innovative solutions, but we don’t see the results yet this year.

New Messages ,January 3rd 2023

Children Born Now: What kind of people are being born now? “Poets! Poets are born, poets are reincarnated; old souls break out of their sleep to don the clothes of Everyman, until they’re needed. New cultural leaders both emerge in 2023 and are being born around this time – under the influence of the latter, future culture becomes wiser.

A Conversation with Aliens: (Me summing up what seemed to be messages from Outer Space Beings) “Ahoy there! People from outer space! You don’t see us coming out of our fog for 5 years!” Translation: “the fog “is everything that keeps us short-sighted about our common goals, divided and at war, with destructive ecological practices. People are going to try everything that doesn’t work…crazies in the government like Santos, polarization still going strong.

The message from Outer Space Beings is that we don’t come out of it for years and in the meantime, we try a lot of things that don’t work.

Changing Relationship with Death: Today’s population which has a generally uncomfortable relationship with death, will get a lot more used to it in the next 4 years, and this is part of how people collectively become more understanding and accepting of death.

“Emptyness” is a future theme. There are new battles to face, psychologically. Mental health and well-being services will get more experimental.

Personal Growth Challenge: We are in Nature’s rock tumbler, and what causes friction within us gets exposed and “worked on.”  Rumi has a neat poem about welcoming all inner conflicts as a chance to have a crack at mastering them. Here’s something to try: You can ask yourself to inwardly to come up with a more polished response to a particular frustration. Your inner guidance is likely to give you an answer. It will be one that promotes harmony and allows you to be unbothered.

Here are two stray horoscope messages, invoked by the recent full moon in Cancer; I’ll probably add something else to them in the Part 2 edition:

Capricorn 2023:  The full moon in Cancer is January 6th, and those born around that time will have a diverse plateful of experiences, karmic encounters, and chances to step back and try choosing peace over power. Family is important; participating more in community feels fulfilling, too.

Cancer 2023:” OMG!” said the Cancer full moon babies, “are these things really happening?” Powerful changes for Cancerians willing to go where fate points, and your imagination will help you see how you’ll like it: Try this! Draw a picture of where you want to go – use anything…symbols, stick figures, words, that depict what it’s like when you’ve got what you want.

Psychic Messages for Capricorn and Cancer 2023

Success Messages for 2023

There are plenty ‘o psychic predictions for 2023  posted here recently – and I’ll probably add a few more in the January newsletter.  I don’t think there are any Covid messages, but with that  new variant moving West and now  reported in New Mexico, I’m going to ask for one!

Here are two stray horoscope messages, invoked by the recent full moon in Cancer:

Capricorn 2023:   The full moon in Cancer is January 6th, and those born around that time will have a diverse plateful of experiences, karmic encounters, and chances to step back and try choosing peace over power. Family is important; participating more in community feels fulfilling, too.

Cancer 2023: OMG said the Cancer full moon babies, are these things really happening? Powerful changes for Cancerians willing to go where fate points, and your imagination will help you see how you’ll like it: Try this!  Draw a picture of where you want to go – use anything…symbols, stick figures, words, that depict what it’s like when you’ve got what you want.

The rest of the 2023 horoscopes and probably an update on these two will be slow to materialize, it’s Mercury Retrograde! Ideally, I would be receiving them at some ocean, signifying how big change is for many this year. Oceans are big, sweeping changes, with no roads yet in sight.

More 2023 Psychic Predictions and Personal Guidance for the New Year

This is the last batch of 2023 general predictions left to be posted,  and then I’ll start on the psychic horoscopes with a message for each sign.  Expect to see them here later this month!
