On April 25th there was a full moon in Scorpio lunar eclipse, and here in Santa Fe the skies switched back and forth from grey and threatening to bright blue. I was over at a friend’s house, sitting around with a couple of people. Everything was eerily quiet and grey at that moment. We were asking the house oracle, a great I Ching book called the” I Ching Workbook” by R.L. Wing, what was up with this eclipse…what did it signify?
The other two people asked the oracle for personal omens, but I had my readers and the May newsletter on my mind. I asked for an eclipse message for all: what helps us be in harmony with nature now, what actions and attitudes did the I Ching recommend?
The hexagram MODERATION came up. It described moderation in unusual ways: “It must be understood that acting in MODERATION means not only limiting the obvious excesses, but also exposing yourself to new areas of experience. Through MODERATION you can now gain some real control over your destiny.” Being tolerant of everything, including peoples’ weaknesses and inferior elements—indulging in a little bit of everything—was a successful navigation technique in May 2013.
Then I went outside to walk a few dogs and myself, and under the full moon, spontaneously came up with a new divination system to get messages for the fire, water, air and earth signs. It uses found objects in nature, that happen to be inside circles I drew in the sand of the arroyo where I was walking. Here’s what I got, your comments are welcome:
Psychic Horoscopes for May 2013
Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn): Your spirit guide’s advice: Go to places where “they know ye not”, it’s educational and could lead to career opportunities. Wherever you are going, literally or figuratively, start to get ready. Here’s how: Step #1: DROP ALL ARGUMENTS. Step #2 DROP ALL SELF-DOUBT. Step #3: EXPECT TO HAVE A GOOD TIME, AND PLAN FOR IT.
Fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius): Don’t be hasty. Weed out the rot. Polish up what isn’t great. Don’t be heavy– travel light. Don’t tell long stories. Feel free to advise others only if you have conquered the subject yourself. A blessing from the spirit guides of the Fire Signs: “We will always be here, helping you, guiding you into the unknown. And it’s into the unknown that you should be going.”
Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces): Any weak links in the chain stand out and need to be strengthened. Don’t be afraid to concentrate on just one thing and build it up. It’s better to be pregnant with something at which you wish to succeed, rather than be trying to push it out into the world. “Beyond belief! Amazing!” you might think about some of the things that are happening to you now.
Air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius): You are in a protected place, the right place to deal with whatever emerges in your life. “Bring it on!” should be your mantra. Bigger things want to be released from within you. This passage in your life might journey through the dark but it leads to a lighted home.

You have a powerful inner guidance system. Like a GPS, all you need are a few instructions to use it effectively. This is your guide to access your own powerful intuition.
When one is intuitive about something, they are in a state of rapport with it. In this receptive state, your intuition can tell you intimate and important things nobody else will. It might tell you things that cause your logical mind to argue with it. Whatever the missive from within, people choose to follow its challenging path because it also feels right—they realize their intuition is speaking for their heart. Intuition is the superior tool of choice when making important life decisions.
Your heart is in tune with a fundamental human wish to feel purpose and follow destiny. Every culture’s myths celebrate the heart’s intelligence. The intuition, like the heart, can identify what choice you’ll find most fulfilling.
INSIGHTS ABOUT INTUITION
The intuition informs abruptly. In an instant, a person can know something to be true, understand something new. Many people have an intuitive flash as they’re falling asleep or waking up. Perhaps this is because their psychological defense systems are down, and they are available for a deeper range of communications.
Our intuition is always bringing us new knowledge. It makes us aware of what resonates or what is dissonant in our environment.
Almost everyone has experienced their own intuition. Millions of people can walk into a house for sale, and instantly know it’s the right place for them to live. (Or know it’s not.) For some couples, it takes just one look to recognize their lifetime partner.
Many people also experience their pets’ abilities “to know”. Dogs have been known to howl inconsolably at the moment of their master’s death, even if they’re separated by thousands of miles.
One of the easiest places for people to make an intuitive leap is while watching a film. Early in the movie a hint is dropped about a later plot development. When you catch it, it adds excitement to watching the plot unfold. In our own lives, we get more hooked into our own story by glimpses our intuition gives us of how things can turn out. Intuitive hits make life more interesting!
The intuition’s most important role is to indicate what, where, and whom is part of our potential growth and fulfillment. However, it can be frustrating for a seeking person to wait for the moment when enlightenment arrives. You don’t have to wait!
The good news is there is a process you can use in a couple of minutes to access your wise, intuitive self. People find this process to be quick and easy.
It is one of several guided meditation methods I use in my private practice. All of my preferred guided meditation methods are available on my website.
Before you begin, here are the four most frequently asked questions by my clients.
WHAT DOES THE INTUITION SOUND LIKE? Often, the inner voice is a quiet one. People are used to important things being said in a loud voice. The inner voice can also be cryptic and fleeting. It can be visceral, like the hair standing up on your head, or your guts contracting (Do not proceed!). Or, in something like the guided meditation exercise below, it can be the voice of your mother or a best friend. While doing this accessing exercise, accept whatever you hear as your intuition.
HOW DO I TELL WHETHER IT’S MY IMAGINATION OR MY INTUITION: It is always both! It is the imagination, with its ability to create pictures, that allows your intuitions to be delivered. The imagination provides tools that the intuition uses to send messages. It’s your imagination and your intuition working together. Your imagination is activated by following along with the directions of the guided meditation. It leads you into the right frequency and resonance to receive awareness. It functions to produce images and impressions the intuition is communicating.
Often, people end up feeling they are “making it up” when their intuition brings up something that they are afraid of doing. The can doubt the wisdom of their intuition if it is directing them into the unknown. Before you begin to get attuned to your intuition, mentally check in with yourself and agree to allow in whatever truth comes from your intuition. If you are not willing, your body will tell you by tensing up. The truth comes most easily on a relaxed and easy breath, when you’re willing to accept whatever you get.
I DON’T WANT TO HEAR ANYTHING BAD!
To control the quality of information you get, all you have to do is set an intention and make it a healing ceremony. It is very simple to make a ceremony. When we turn our cell-phones off at dinner, we are making a ceremony out of it.
The simplest ceremony for this experience is to establish a safe and sacred space. All it takes is to make sure you won’t be interrupted, (turn off the phones, close the door), and hold in your mind the intention to receive whatever you need to know. If you like prayers, here’s the prayer I learned to commune on a spiritual level from my metaphysical teacher, Eric Teissedre. He would say this before going into a channeling trance:
“I am beginningless, I am endless, I am timeless, I am spaceless. I am in thee, thou art in me, together forever, we are One.”
WHAT IF NO ONE ANSWERS? You can always try again later, just as if you were calling someone who didn’t happen to be home. Some peoples’ inner self is very surprised to be contacted, and will respond more articulately when they try again.
Below is a written version of “CALLING UP YOUR INTUITION”:
The purpose of the exercise is to get in touch with your intuition.
Know that in your imagination, you can do anything, including, calling up your intuition! All you need to do this exercise is your imagination.
To begin, think of something important that you want to know. What do you want your intuition to illuminate? Put it into a question form in your mind, then, let it go.
Now, take a couple of big deep breaths to relax. Breathe in through your nose and out your mouth. Let your body sink into the chair. Get comfortable.
Imagine yourself inside your home, by the door you use when you go outside. In your imagination, open the door and walk outside. Make it a nice day. Look around and locate a telephone…perhaps it’s an old-fashioned telephone booth right outside your door or in the street. Maybe it’s a cell-phone on a bench.
When you see the telephone, go up to it. You’re going to use the phone to call up your intuition, so pick a phone number. Perhaps it’s your own number, or a family member’s, or a phone number from childhood.
Make yourself comfortable, then, remember the question you want to ask your intuition.
Pick up the phone, dial the number you just chose, and let it ring. If anyone answers, assume it’s your intuition. Say “Hi” and ask your question. Then just listen for the answer.
When the call is over, hang up, and in your imagination, walk back into the house and then to where you are presently sitting. You might want to write down the message, words, or feelings that came to you.
Instead of actual words or thoughts, you can also get a strong and informative feeling as an answer to your question, or a telling picture will appear in your mind’s eye.
You can call up your intuitive self any time, using this method. Acknowledge yourself for tuning into your inner guidance system. Say a prayer of gratitude, dance a dance or give yourself a big smile. You’ve done it! Your intuition: you’ve got it and you know how to use it.

Dear Friends,
I have Spring fever but not the exciting kind-it’s the height of allergy season in Santa Fe, and I cannot wait for its abrupt end. It will come the moment chamisa bushes and juniper are no longer pollinating the atmosphere, invading even my sleep through the two-foot adobe walls. I won’t wake up sneezing that morning, and will be glad to hop on my Schwinn and sail down the street to coffee. But right now I’m pretty miserable, and coffee makes it worse.
Enough about me, here’s about you! But first, thanks for opening my emailed newsletter–I won a prize because of it! For lots of opens…
This Spring generated many messages, here they are, spread over a few articles I began writing at the equinox. We are in a provocative planetary juxtaposition that world-wide, brings up issues, tensions, and revolution.
Have a wonderful, colorful, happy Spring, I’ll be here working in Santa Fe except for a quick trip back East.
Love,
Elissa
Itinerary: NYC Private in-person psychic counseling and spiritual healing sessions in Manhattan May 10th-15th. Appointments can take place near the financial district at 40 Exchange Place (TRS Professional Suite); also in Hudson Heights where I’m staying, or a housecall (your office or house.) To schedule a session, please email elissa@elissaheyman.comor call me at 505-982-3294
Swap Santa Fe for the East Bay?: I want to be in the Oakland/Hayward area July2-7th…does anybody want to come to Santa Fe then to stay at my place at 514 East Palace? It can be non-simultaneous, I’ll be out of town in June for a couple of weeks also, and probably mid-October for a week.
Psychic Messages and Spiritual Guidance for Spring 2013
There are three eclipses coming up, (April 25th, May 9th, May 25th) making things black-and-white and plain to see when it comes to decisions in your personal life. It is very easy to be reactionary this Spring. The best way to channel the revolutionary, status-quo upsetting, and just plain upsetting energy of Spring 2013, is to only upset your own tired protocols. These next few months pack the energetic punch necessary to revolutionize your own life. Don’t try upsetting anyone else’s life, though, as retaliation will be swift and brutal. (Please see the article below for details, “The Other Side of Spring 2013″.)
THE HEALING MANTRA FOR SPRING: : Do Not Take It Personally. This is the most important thing to remember all season. Did somebody cross you? Try this technique rather than rocket up your blood pressure: Run through the offensive scenario in your mind, repeating to yourself the story line where you do not take it personally. Tell a story about what happened (instead of the incensing one going on in your head) in which it makes perfect sense NOT to take it personally, i.e. “Someone bumped into me at Trader Joe’s, spilled coffee all over me…I turned around to see what kind of careless klutz did that, and it was an elderly blind man.” Understand and accept the limitations of others, and don’t take what they do to you personally–maybe they are sociopaths, or can’t think of any other way to get ahead but to step on someone else, etc.
Your Creative Effect this Spring: Don’t underestimate your impact in the world, people have a long reach this Spring when they reach out to help others. There is an exponential increase in consciousness occurring within many now. A great many people experience a spurt of energy towards higher awareness, enlightenment , and new inspirations. Don’t underestimate the creative power and genius exhibited in all nature this Spring.
Psychic Guidance for the Fire, Water, Air and Earth Signs
Read your Sun, Moon and Rising Signs
For more Spring 2013 psychic messages, please see the two other articles below on this blog. The first was written on the March 20th equinox, capturing the inspiration of this season and peoples’ strong potential for personal growth. The second article highlights Spring’s challenges to leading a balanced life now, which became evident for many during the Full moon in Gemini, March 27th.
Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn): You don’t know how to go about it exactly…you could be working on something that inspires you but a more grounded version may emerge. However, proceeding with enthusiasm towards whatever excites you is still the way to move forward. Expect travel to be fun and to upgrade your ideas of what you can do in this world. Associates trust you.
Air (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius): There’s a tremendous leaving of everything extraneous: you heal by closing doors or moving on or simply not revisiting the past. This Spring you clear the way for new life. Less is more: don’t try to stick to schedules or outdo yourself about where you are in life…it’s a hard Spring to read and interpret. However, a great deal is moved off of you. This will likely be by your own energetic choice; you’re just tired of investing in what’s not paying off.
Fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius): You may deal with some kind of emotional disappointment re partnerships or what supports you. It looks like you feel like you don’t get something. You may be more on your own than you thought you were going to be. Another meaning of these same signs are: If there were ever a time to sacrifice for what you want, to cooperate by doing what it takes to make a dream come true, this would be it, this is when. It’s important that everything work like clockwork, that you take the necessary steps or perform the actions required for success.
Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces): If you have a conflict to deal with, there’s the sense that much at stake. Something in your environment or body is out of alignment with your goals. What’s also showing is a strong benefit as a result of Spring’s travails, and that it can send you back to the drawing board on many levels. Goals are challenging but the rewards of meeting them are great.

Love,
Elissa

(Please see the article below for details, “The Other Side of Spring 2013”.)
