Look Out Down Below: The Looming Fiscal Cliff

Posted on December 21, 2012 | by elissaheyman
U.S.A.
U.S.A.

I hope I’m dead wrong, but this is what occurred to me last night:

Judging from my 2012 newsletter’s summation of the year, “Nobody gives up nothing” and “People don’t cooperate to keep things afloat that should sink on their own lack of sustainability”, it looks like there could be no deal, and we’re going over the fiscal cliff. My long-time wonderment about a 2005 prediction of a” significant economic contraction” that follows something like a big trial in the U.S. would be fulfilled if there’s no deal: the unfolding and nasty Libor Scandal trial, and the who’s-going-to-win Boehner-Obama battle.

I looked on the tarot, right after sending out yesterday’s cheery Winter Solstice note about how to celebrate tonight, and what it looked like on the cards was that we were going to take the long way towards economic recovery, and get more cozy with each other than otherwise planned as we weathered a weak economy. Not reaching a deal also fits with the message I got from the North (earth element) for 2013, about how stark consequences from mismanagement would show up in very concrete ways. Literally and figuratively, the earth would not yield in some places as it always had.

I think it will have a positive impact on the quality of relationships in the U.S., even though the fight is about not being our brother’s keeper. Last night I tweeted: ” Going over the fiscal cliff is a fit reflection of change without cooperation, forcing poor us to focus on supportive relationships anyway.”
The fear is over that today is the end of the world, but it could mark the beginning of a very different cycle for the U.S.

How to celebrate the end of the Mayan calendar, Winter Solstice 2012

Posted on December 20, 2012 | by elissaheyman
December 21st 2012
December 21st 2012

Well, here it is! It’s almost the Winter Solstice 2012, happening at 4:11 am Mountain Time on the 21st, with the special seconds-long interval Mayan Shamans talk about, when we shift from one world to the other, from the fifth to the sixth sun. Our mooring to a passing paradigm is shifting to a new, more positive one.

I’m thrilled by what I find “in the air” lately…I’ve felt the presence of countless numbers of people, like a huge universal chorus, all wishing for their version of the best for themselves and their world, aware that they are shifting and changing for the better, challenging as it might be.

People all over the world are doing ceremonies at the Winter Solstice, and this one especially highlights “transformation”. Together, so many people, places, energy sources, and technologies are in the midst of change.

Join the crowd! Put out into the air just by desiring and imagining it, the vibration you want to shift to, how you want to be–like changing the channel to the one where you love and appreciate yourself and other people, where life is exciting and full of possibilities.

Besides wishing for the best, here are a few more suggestions for celebrating December 21st, 2012:

Hear what a Mayan scholar and spiritual teacher has to say about the actual potent moments on the solstice, “What to do when time stops”, the rare galactic alignment and Mayan cycle change that has the world buzzing.

Watch the History Channel’s astounding story of Mayans living in Georgia and other parts of the U.S. on the 21st and 23rd —check out this exciting sneak preview of “America Unearthed”. Ancient Mayan ruins in the U.S.A. were discovered by esteemed Examiner.com colleague Richard Thornton, whose excellent research articles about Native America are treasures of information.

If you want some visual aids to change and shift, watch this 3 minute video of an iceberg the size of Manhattan breaking off, from the movie, Chasing Ice. Eventually, even what appears immovable ends up flowing somewhere else…

If you’re in Santa Fe and want to join others, there’s a talk downtown by a Buddhist teacher on “Spirituality for the New World” at Seret and Sons Gallery (505-988-9151)…some of the Buddhists who are building a sand prayer mandala there came into the local coffee hangout the other day, radiating smiles and happiness in their orange robes. (The mandala will be on display until the 31st.)

Whatever you do, have fun imagining the new you and the life you love, it’s like a magic spell out there, all the way up to Christmas!

Re China Prediction in December 2012 Psychic Newsletter

December 2012

Today I saw an article about China’s ambitious plan to grow vegetables on Mars… I wonder if this is China’s project I saw that the U.S. watched with interest? In my December 2012 newsletter I wrote…Around the World: “…China may be building something on a massive scale the U.S. is very interested in.”

I’ll post the newsletter here in the next couple of days, or click on the newsletter link .
