The stars and planets make signs in the sky, commenting on the unseen world of our personal changes and evolution. They name the energies in play. They speak about a larger life form’s evolution, and the continuing, growing light in each us is its proof.
Right on Thanksgiving, there are big signs in the sky with Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius, and a new moon solar eclipse in Sagittarius:
(Thanksgiving dinner should be raucous and merry, although hard on control freaks. It’s a great holiday to go out to a restaurant and do something different! New traditions naturally erupt.)
Moving past Turkey Day, Mercury going retrograde in Sagittarius gives you the opportunity to go back and reconsider your priorities, your philosophy, what’s important, and the very deliberate actions your personal goals call for. It’s a three week period to get focused, get ready, and pare down in preparation to be more effective. Now you can get strong about what you believe in and want to manifest in your life.
This is when to clear things out and get ready and better positioned for expansion or productivity, but hold off on actually launching something until the third week of December. Spend your time putting energy into revamping, shoring up, and getting organized.
November 25th’s solar eclipse in Sagittarius is a very jolly and positive sign..full of benificence, excitement, adventure. There’s a natural willingness to interact with others on new ventures…which could be quite successful. What’s begun now, even though Mercury is retrograde, has a bright aura. It may have to prune its directions.
Individuals will have to pare down their activities, too, for the next few weeks. Doing fewer things produces better quality work with more impact. High quality work and sophistication are what makes something a success now , and attract the right attention.
There’s a hidden bounty in the air: If you turn inward and allow new thoughts and possibilities to occur to you about your situation, there’s tremendous potential to come up with new routes through chaos, or ways to accomplish your goal.
Holiday Advice: Mingling far and wide, enjoying different situations, being positive, and following your instincts is how to play this holiday! Re family visits, with Mercury retrograde in brutally frank Sagittarius, think “be kind” before you speak.

What an astounding planetary and numerical line-up in the next few days, and there are plenty of headlines to reflect it. We are close to a full moon that highlights the push and pull of opposing sides. What counts now is that people fight for what they want in life and never mind the opposition! Today in an increasingly polarized politically conservative environment, the unions won, so did Obama’s health plan, and womens’ right to an abortion.
A meteor passed close by earth yesterday, traditionally the sign of the fall of kings, just as Italy’s leader stepped down.
Here’s a breakdown of celestial events over the next few days, and how to use them to your advantage.
On Wednesday the 9th, our ability to dream stuff up for ourselves gets goosed as planet of creativity and imagination Neptune goes direct. Green lights flashing up ahead for your most imaginative undertakings! The Occupy Wall Street movement will probably get a lot more creative beginning now, if they can survive their need for unity.
Wednesday begins with the moon conjunct Jupiter, which can signal a day of overeating or over-extending or spending, but perfect for taking time out to dream something wonderful up. The moon trines Pluto right when Neptune goes direct, signalling that whatever project you’re thinking about, it requires structural change of your life where you can expect to have to rearrange things, change habits and routines, or just be looking at a differently-oriented life that works better for you. However, now people can better figure out how to stabilize their lives.
There is a strong push to make things come to a head with moon trine Pluto so close to Thursday’s Full Moon in Taurus. People want answers, decisions, action, and to reveal what’s real. Personal purges and collective revolutions gain ground.
Thursday’s signs with a full moon and then Mars going into Virgo is, every blessed vibration in the Universe is rooting for people to make happen what they are dreaming about, what they are focused on. A full moon emphasizes stellar-power’s two-edged sword: it fuels the imaginations of those filled with negativity as well as those filled with enthusiasm for their own life and dreams. Stay focused on what you want to happen!
Friday is the much heralded 11-11-11, a day of mystery, a symbol for a time period in which when many more people become sure of their own inner direction and connection to All. What to do on 11-11-11? Look around and see what is open to you in life, and rejoice …and if nothing is open, you’re supposed to knock on the Universe’s door in the direction of your most heartfelt intention. Get into the mix and you will get taken where you’re headed.

Dear Friends,
I had a great adventure yesterday which began with hopping on my Schwinn bicycle and racing down to the Railrunner station in downtown Santa Fe. I got to the depot in time to haul my bike on board and settle in for a sightseeing train ride all the way to Belen, a little over two hours south. The cottonwoods are still a mass of gold and green along the Rio Grande, and Indian Summer is hanging in there.
The best feature of the train is that it goes through the Indian pueblos and land you can’t see from the highway.
The pueblos have a lot of cattle back there! Beautiful green fields, cows and horses, and the Rio Grande from
different views. The train has free wifi if you get tired of looking out the window but you won’t, it’s interesting
country and city scenery all the way down.
Belen is a railroad town with some rough parts, and biking down the streets south of its center frequently gave way to furious pedaling to outrun the dogs. Lots of pit bull mixes and ferocious chihuahas…
I had to detour around the historic part because Arnold Schwarzenneger was making a movie there, “The Last Stand”,
employing a veritable army of equipment, vehicles, employees and patrols for about five blocks. It’s a modern Western…I heard he built a lot of buildings downtown but that they’ll be destroyed in the movie. Artist Judy Chicago has a gallery space downtown but the movie guards shooed me away.
Back on the train at 5:40 pm, just barely because I spent a fruitless fifteen minutes looking for a decent cup of coffee, although I had a great buffet lunch at the China King, unfairly maligned online. All this for a $9.00 Railrunner round trip day pass! A great day trip if you come visit…
Have a wonderful holiday season and Thanksgiving,
Elissa
Sweetgrass source: People comment they like the smell of my place…it’s sweetgrass. Usually I get my supply at the July powwow up in Taos. Missing the convenient chances to get it around here, I ordered a big batch online and it just arrived…I am very happy with it. From Canada, the braids are long, green and fragrant, and have a particularly nice smell burnt. (You can also wet sweetgrass to bring out the fragrance.) Details: To make room for what’s new, I plan to downsize the monthly newsletters, with the exception of the January edition for the year. I’ll include psychic messages like always for the fire, water, air, and earth signs…in 2012 a monthly hit might be welcome!
There will still be updates and articles regularly posted at the Examiner and my blog like the one at the end of this newsletter.
Itinerary: Los Angeles, November 26, 27, 28th. In-person psychic counseling and healing sessions. For appointment, cell while travelling: 505-577-4012 or elissa@elissaheyman.com.
Psychic Astrology and Spiritual Guidance for November 2011
Novemberis influenced by a late October new moon in Scorpio, a time to cut to the bone in order to stick to what’s important. We can figure how to incorporate what’s new and good into our life, if we’re willing to be ruthlessly honest. Act now to powerfully influence your own road, and work on something specific you want to develop or accomplish. There is no time like the present!
Teachers in disguise: They come in all manner of encounters–for instance, your friends take you to task, or some stranger wags his finger at you…take everything as a message meant to clarify your direction and guide you. Omens to steer by abound.
It’s what they do, not what they say: How do you like the people you’re with? Are they trustworthy? No? Then move on. You haven’t found your people.
Personal growth patterns: There can be still something taking up space, something like dead weight in your world although much of it is green, with new things growing. However, what is outdated in you will come to the surface. Scorpio has strong backing from activated, fiery Mars, and its spirit is determined to snip and prune at dead weight with force. “Let it roll”, let Nature move through you as the forces aid closure, purification, and energy flow.
Firebrands, entrepreneurs, and creators of your own destiny: “As above, so below”: Look to the movement of Jupiter in November as a signal for times to come: Mars in Virgo is trine Jupiter in Taurus November 16th, meaning “New forms, well planned, can take hold!”
True love has godspeed. (What you love can materialize quickly.) Something new in the atmosphere is the holy spirit of Speed. Everything changes when it speeds up. The spirit of Speed was like an excited artist involved in creating some evolutionary leap in mankind. In the lives of individuals, it seems as if more miracles are happening, and lots of people get free of things way faster than they thought they would. Maybe this is what happens before an evolutionary leap in our consciousness.
“Speed is free to re-create
within open minds and willing hearts
–all coming from love
and not dark thoughts–
“We succeed! We succeed”
and it’s been a long time.
Holiday Hazards:Right on Thanksgiving, Mercury goes retrograde in Sagittarius, which warns, “Think before you speak!” (Think: “peace ispower, peace is power…”) A few hours later there’s a new moon solar eclipse in Sagittarius, a sign that it’s a good year to create new traditions based on current ideals. (For more about the holidays, please see Eric Teissedre’s divination astrology on my blog, www.elissaheyman.com/blog
Here’s astute astrologer Eric’s take on Thanksgiving 2011 and the coming, much heralded 2012. While writing my newsletter, I asked him to weigh in after noticing very intense astrological aspects on Turkey Day…this was his reply:
“If there are unresolved family issues, watch out! There is every sign of things being at an emotional peak. Good time to hide the steak knives…around turkey dinner! Knowing this, you can arm yourself with protection by realizing emotions do not always make sense. In fact, they come from a more subjective way of thinking. It is also helpful to realize that people are not always talking about us. They tend to be talking about themselves when making pointed comments. There is a possibility of many children being conceived during the holidays, since couples could be taking refuge within their own relationship. It is a time to surround yourself by those you really love. Once again, the holidays, in particular, Christmas, should be a celebration, that focuses on sharing with significant people. There has been a trend to make Christmas completely about money and things. Well thought out gifts could be a plus and without being crass, gift certificates and money allows people to buy what it is they really want! Both personally and nationally, there are revelations of secrets. You could find out that you know things about people you never thought consciously. It is as if we are beginning the purge of 2012. There is every sign of emotion, and holiday and emotion can be a strange mix. I truly feel we should invest in those who are our support, those we truly love. Try to bury old grievances and do not linger and participate in any battles that are un-resolvable. Capture the magic of the holidays. Bring this time back. This is the time of renewal, rebirth, of the light. It is supposed to be a sacred time of the year.” Eric Teissedre, November 1, 2011 Eric’s blog: click here

I had an interesting flash the other day of some ancient time like Atlantis, and one of their healing techniques. When I went to record it, out came a surprise ending:
“Healing technique in ancient Egypt from some other culture: … where you went down into the bowels of the earth, or into these pyramids. The pathways could be lit up with a red light or a lime-green phosphorescent light …and there was a place, a chamber you went to.
In the chamber there was something about how crystals were set up where you went and had your chakras spun right, your energy systems balanced. This happened in what felt like inside the earth.
You again filled up with life energy… like the sun was inside you, and you were purified. You came also to understand things within yourself as part of this process: it gave insights to effect energy release and rebalancing. It was a blessed tool from the great Universe’s storehouse of knowledge. It is there waiting to be rediscovered.”
